Dublin’s iconic Links course has an amazing location just north of the city centre. Portmarnock has hosted numerous Irish Open Championships, one of which I played in in 1989, a Walker Cup match and the Canada Cup, now the World Cup of Golf, that was won by no less than Golfing legends Sam Snead and Arnold Palmer. Consistently voted amongst the world’s top golfing venues, and one of our favourites here at GOLFWILD.
Stunning gorse bushes, only nice to look at!
The majestic Par 3 12th Hole, I made a 2 here last time out!
The famous 15th, a Par 3 here anytime is a great result!
The view from the fairway to the green at the 18th, an iconic finishing hole.
The famous clubhouse at Portmarnock. Great Guinness by the way!
The greens here nearly always have a quick run off, make sure to hit the perfect approach shot, if you can!
The 18th green with the clubhouse in the background. This is a great test of Golf.
These Links bunkers offer a real challenge, manys a good round at Portmarnock was ruined by these hazards!
