6 Days / 5 Nights

This fantastic 6 day tour takes our guests to County Wicklow, just south of the capital city of Dublin. Renowned for it’s wonderful scenery, Wicklow is not known as the Garden of Ireland for nothing. This tour involves four rounds of Golf, 3 of which are on stunning parkland layouts, and one on a true classic Links. The middle day on this itinerary allows for some sightseeing, and we have two options for you to choose from, so you decide! Check it out…

This tour is for 6 days and 5 nights.

This tour package is available from 15th April 2017 to 25th September 2017

These parkland Golf courses are wonderfully picturesque and challenging layouts, but are eminently playable for the club golfer. The European Club is also a fantastic challenge, and one that will require you to bring your A game!

At Pedal and Putt we can provide all of the top brands of Golf equipment should you decide to travel without your clubs. Check out the Equipment section of the website or just make a request on the Enquiry Form below. Cost is dependent on selection.

The base for this tour package is the beautiful Druids Glen Resort. Situated in the heart of County Wicklow it is only a 55 minute transfer from Dublin Airport. Accommodation is based on twin room occupancy, bed and breakfast and three dinners in the hotel’s restaurants. A single room supplement of €65 will apply subject to availability.

Transfers on this tour package will include a return Airport/Druids Glen trip and return transfers to the Golf courses each day. Transfers are included on the sightseeing day also.

On arrival at the Druids Glen Resort, guests will check in and enjoy a leisurely lunch overlooking the Golf course, before heading to the first tee. Druids Glen is one of Ireland’s finest parkland courses and has hosted the Irish Open on a number of occasions. Winners of the event here, include Colin Montgomerie and Sergio Garcia. A relaxing dinner in the hotel and the obligatory pint of Guinness provide a perfect end to a perfect first day.

DAY 2

Today’s challenge is the wonderful Links at The European Club. A relatively new layout, this has very quickly gathered a reputation as one of the most challenging courses in the country. Running alongside a beautiful stretch of coastline on the Irish sea, the back nine can be tough, should the wind decide to blow in from the sea! After Golf, guests can enjoy some of their fine hospitality before the short transfer back to the Druids Glen Resort. Dinner this evening will be in one of the local area’s many great restaurants. We would be delighted to make some recommendations for you.

Today is a rest day from the Golf and a chance to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Option 1

  • A visit to the beautiful village and lake at Glendalough
  • A hearty lunch in the picturesque village of Roundwood
  • An afternoon at leisure at the majestic Powerscourt House and Gardens.

Option 2

  • A visit to the world famous Irish National Stud, home of the Irish Equine Industry
  • Entry to the Equine museum followed by lunch in the on – site restaurant
  • A chance to explore the famous Japanese Gardens on – site at the National Stud

Dependent on the choice of itinerary, we will make suitable restaurant reservations for the evening.

DAY 4

Today we are back on the Golf course, and what a treat we’ve lined up for you. The Palmer Course at The K Club played host to the Ryder Cup matches in 2006, when the European Team captained by Ian Woosnam triumphed over the USA. This is an immaculately presented course and one which we are sure you will want to come back and play again. Dinner this evening will be at the Druids Glen Resort.

Today is the final round of Golf on this tour package. The West course at Powerscourt is a wonderful location, with great views of the Wicklow mountains, and from parts of the course you also gets some views out across the Irish sea. This is a really good test of Golf and a great way to finish of the tour. After the short transfer back to the resort, the final evening can be enjoyed in the relaxing surroundings of the restaurants and bars on – site.

DAY 6

After a leisurely breakfast in the resort, guests will be transferred to Dublin Airport for the return flights home. Should you wish to add on any further days to your itinerary, just mention it in the Enquiry Form below, and we will be happy to help you.
*Should you have an evening return flight, we can organise an early round of Golf at Druids Heath, which is part of the Druids Glen Resort, prior to your airport transfer. Just ask!
